Introduction
Michot is committed to building a transportation platform that promotes safety, professionalism, accountability, respect, and trust. Every interaction that occurs through the Michot platform affects the experience of riders, drivers, businesses, support personnel, and the broader communities served by the platform.
Community Standards establish the behavioral expectations that apply to all individuals who use Michot services. These standards are intended to help create an environment where transportation services can be delivered safely, professionally, and respectfully while protecting the rights and well-being of all participants.
Participation in the Michot platform is a privilege that carries responsibilities. Every user is expected to comply with applicable laws, platform policies, and the standards described in this document.
Failure to comply with these Community Standards may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, suspension, permanent deactivation, denial of access to services, legal action, or referral to appropriate authorities where necessary.
Our Community Values
The Michot platform is built upon several core principles that guide platform operations and user behavior.
- Safety
- Respect
- Professionalism
- Integrity
- Accountability
- Fairness
- Inclusion
- Transparency
- Responsibility
- Community Trust
All users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with these principles.
Respect for All Individuals
Respect is one of the most important expectations of participation on the Michot platform.
Every rider, driver, support representative, business customer, applicant, contractor, and visitor deserves to be treated with dignity and courtesy. Respectful interactions help create a positive environment where individuals feel comfortable, safe, and valued.
Users should communicate professionally, remain courteous during disagreements, exercise patience when challenges arise, and avoid behavior that may cause unnecessary discomfort or distress to others.
Disrespectful behavior, insults, hostility, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, aggressive conduct, or other conduct intended to demean another individual is inconsistent with the standards of the platform.
Professional Conduct
Transportation services require professionalism. Drivers are often responsible for transporting individuals who place significant trust in the platform and the people providing transportation services. Riders also play an important role in maintaining a positive transportation environment.
Professional conduct includes maintaining appropriate communication, demonstrating good judgment, respecting personal boundaries, acting responsibly, and interacting with others in a manner that reflects positively on the Michot community.
Professionalism contributes to safer trips, better customer experiences, stronger community trust, and a more sustainable transportation marketplace.
Non-Discrimination
Michot is committed to providing equal access to services and equal treatment for all individuals. Discrimination has no place on the platform.
Users may not refuse service, deny access, harass, intimidate, threaten, exclude, or otherwise treat individuals unfairly based upon legally protected characteristics, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
All individuals should be able to participate in platform services without fear of discrimination or unequal treatment.
Inclusion and Accessibility
Michot supports transportation accessibility and inclusion. Transportation services should be available to individuals from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and communities.
Users are expected to respect individuals who require accommodations, accessibility assistance, mobility devices, service animals, or other support necessary for transportation access.
Accessibility-related requests should be addressed respectfully and professionally whenever reasonably possible and consistent with applicable laws and platform requirements.
Harassment, Bullying, and Intimidation
Harassment is prohibited. Harassment includes unwanted conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, threatening, humiliating, degrading, or offensive environment for another person.
Harassment may occur through spoken communication, written communication, digital communication, physical conduct, gestures, repeated unwanted contact, stalking behavior, or other forms of inappropriate interaction.
Bullying and intimidation are also prohibited. Users may not use threats, coercion, manipulation, humiliation, aggressive confrontation, or other forms of intimidation to pressure, control, or harm another individual.
Reports of harassment, bullying, or intimidation are taken seriously and may result in enforcement action.
Hate Speech and Hateful Conduct
Hateful conduct is prohibited. Users may not engage in speech, behavior, symbols, gestures, communications, or activities that promote hatred, violence, hostility, or discrimination against individuals or groups.
The platform seeks to maintain an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can safely participate without being subjected to hate-based conduct.
Content or behavior that encourages prejudice, violence, or exclusion may result in immediate enforcement action.
Personal Boundaries
Personal boundaries must be respected at all times. Every individual has the right to personal space, privacy, and respectful interactions.
Users should avoid behavior that may make others feel uncomfortable, unsafe, pressured, or violated.
Personal boundaries apply during transportation services, customer support interactions, business communications, digital communications, and all other platform-related interactions.
Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct
Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct are strictly prohibited.
Any conduct involving unwanted sexual attention, inappropriate comments, requests for sexual favors, sexually explicit communications, unwanted physical contact, or sexual coercion violates platform standards.
Individuals should never be placed in situations where they feel pressured, threatened, manipulated, or uncomfortable because of sexual behavior or advances.
Allegations involving sexual misconduct may result in immediate restrictions while investigations are conducted.
Violence, Physical Harm, and Weapons
Violence is never acceptable. Physical assault, attempted assault, threats of violence, physical intimidation, fighting, aggressive physical conduct, or any behavior that creates a risk of bodily harm is prohibited.
Users are expected to resolve disagreements peacefully and avoid conduct that could escalate into dangerous situations.
Users must comply with all applicable laws regarding weapons. Regardless of legality, Michot reserves the right to prohibit conduct involving weapons when such conduct creates safety concerns, intimidation, fear, or risks to platform participants.
Brandishing, displaying, threatening the use of, or unlawfully possessing weapons during platform activities is prohibited.
Rider Conduct Standards
Riders contribute directly to the quality, safety, and professionalism of the transportation experience. Every rider is expected to behave responsibly, communicate respectfully, and interact with drivers in a manner that promotes safety and mutual respect.
Riders should arrive at pickup locations within a reasonable time, follow applicable laws, treat vehicles respectfully, avoid distracting drivers during active transportation, and conduct themselves appropriately throughout the trip.
Conduct that is abusive, disruptive, threatening, dishonest, or unsafe may result in account enforcement actions.
Driver Conduct Standards
Drivers occupy positions of trust and responsibility within the transportation ecosystem. Riders rely upon drivers to provide transportation services safely, professionally, and responsibly.
Drivers are expected to operate vehicles lawfully, maintain professional communication, respect rider privacy, follow platform policies, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and provide transportation services consistent with applicable legal and platform requirements.
Drivers should exercise sound judgment, remain attentive while operating vehicles, comply with traffic laws, and prioritize safety over speed, incentives, or convenience.
Child Safety
Child safety is a critical priority. Children deserve special protection during transportation activities.
Riders and drivers are expected to comply with all applicable laws concerning child transportation, child safety restraints, supervision requirements, and age-related transportation restrictions.
Reports involving child endangerment, child exploitation, child abuse, or conduct that places minors at risk may result in immediate platform intervention and referral to appropriate authorities.
Accessibility and Service Animals
Michot supports equal access to transportation services. Individuals using mobility devices, accessibility equipment, assistive technologies, or service animals should be treated with dignity, professionalism, and respect.
Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities must be accommodated as required by applicable law. Discrimination, refusal of service, harassment, or unequal treatment relating to disabilities or accessibility needs is inconsistent with platform standards and may result in enforcement action.
Property Damage and Cleanliness
Users are expected to respect property belonging to others. Vehicles, personal belongings, business property, platform equipment, and public property should be treated responsibly and carefully.
Intentional damage, vandalism, destruction of property, theft, misuse of property, or reckless conduct resulting in avoidable damage is prohibited.
Excessive messes, contamination, intentional damage, or conduct requiring extraordinary cleaning efforts may result in fees, reimbursement claims, restrictions, or other enforcement actions.
Alcohol, Drugs, and Impairment
Safe transportation requires responsible behavior. Drivers must never provide transportation services while impaired by alcohol, illegal substances, controlled substances that affect driving ability, or any condition that compromises safe vehicle operation.
Riders are also expected to behave responsibly and avoid conduct that creates risks to themselves, drivers, passengers, or members of the public.
Transportation activities involving illegal drug use, drug distribution, substance abuse-related criminal activity, or conduct that creates significant safety risks may result in immediate enforcement action.
Fraud and Dishonest Conduct
Trust is essential to the operation of the Michot platform. Fraudulent activity, deception, misrepresentation, falsification of information, abuse of platform systems, manipulation of transactions, fraudulent payment activity, identity fraud, incentive abuse, false claims, or any attempt to gain an unfair advantage through dishonest means is prohibited.
Fraud may result in immediate account suspension, permanent deactivation, financial recovery efforts, legal action, or referral to law enforcement authorities.
Account Sharing and Identity Misrepresentation
Platform accounts are personal and non-transferable. Individuals may not share accounts, lend accounts, sell accounts, lease accounts, transfer accounts, or allow unauthorized persons to access platform services through their credentials.
Individuals must accurately represent their identities. Impersonating another person, providing false identification, creating fraudulent accounts, using misleading information, altering verification documents, or otherwise misrepresenting identity is prohibited.
False Reports and Abuse of Reporting Systems
Reporting systems exist to protect users and support platform safety. Knowingly submitting false complaints, fabricated safety reports, fraudulent reimbursement requests, malicious accusations, or misleading information during investigations is prohibited.
False reporting may interfere with legitimate investigations and may cause harm to innocent individuals. Abuse of reporting systems may result in enforcement actions.
Privacy Expectations and Recording Devices
Every user deserves reasonable privacy and respect. Information learned during transportation activities should not be misused, disclosed inappropriately, exploited, or shared without authorization.
The use of cameras, recording systems, dash cameras, and other recording technologies may be subject to applicable laws. Individuals utilizing recording devices are responsible for complying with legal requirements governing notice, consent, privacy protections, data retention, and lawful use of recordings.
Communication Standards
Communication should remain respectful, professional, and relevant to transportation services.
Users should avoid offensive language, threats, harassment, discrimination, abusive communications, excessive messaging, or conduct intended to create discomfort or distress.
Communications occurring through platform tools may be reviewed when necessary to investigate concerns, maintain safety, enforce policies, support customer service, or comply with legal obligations.
Reporting Violations
Maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform requires cooperation from the community.
Users are encouraged to report violations of platform policies, safety concerns, fraud, misconduct, discrimination, harassment, unsafe behavior, account misuse, criminal activity, or other conduct that may affect platform integrity.
Investigations
Michot reserves the right to investigate conduct that may violate Community Standards, Safety Policies, legal requirements, or other platform rules.
Investigations may involve review of account information, trip records, communications, payment activity, support records, safety reports, documentation, and other information reasonably necessary to evaluate reported concerns.
Failure to cooperate with legitimate investigations may affect account status.
Temporary Restrictions and Permanent Deactivation
Certain situations may require temporary restrictions while reviews are conducted. Temporary restrictions may include limitations on platform access, suspension of specific features, temporary account holds, document verification requirements, payment reviews, or other measures intended to protect users and preserve platform integrity.
Certain violations may justify permanent removal from the platform. Examples may include serious safety violations, violence, sexual misconduct, identity fraud, repeated policy violations, criminal activity connected to platform use, deliberate fraud, significant threats to safety, or other conduct incompatible with continued participation.
Appeals and Reviews
Fairness and accountability require meaningful review processes. Individuals subject to enforcement actions may be provided opportunities to request reviews, submit additional information, clarify circumstances, or challenge decisions when appropriate and consistent with platform procedures.
Submission of an appeal does not guarantee reversal of an enforcement decision.
Cooperation with Authorities
Michot may cooperate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, courts, emergency responders, and other governmental entities where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect public safety and comply with applicable laws.
Community Responsibility
Every participant contributes to the overall success of the Michot platform.
Community Standards are intended not only to establish rules but also to encourage a culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, fairness, and mutual respect.
By using Michot services, individuals agree to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with these Community Standards and support a transportation environment that prioritizes safety, trust, professionalism, and community well-being.
